In the spirit of ATGATT (all the gear all the time), here's my favorite new daily riding pant, bmw city pant. knee and hip armor, nice and comfyI think I paid $160ish at san diego bmw motorcycles. love em.
Favorite sportbike tire Michelin Pilot Powers great stick, last forever, cheap, nice v profile, I dig em
Favorite supermoto tire: Avon Distancia SM last FOREVER, nice stick, fantastic in loose conditions, sticky enough for club racing, absolute blast on firetrails. for cheap supermoto action just throw some avon gripsters on any ol dual sport.
Favorite cruiser tire: Avon Supervenom if y'all know of a stickier cruiser tire let me know. Even if you're bike has no cornering clearance (your cruiser) it's nice to have the stick for panic stops.
Favorite textile: Aerostich I live in mine. My best investment ever.
Leather: Vanson They look the biz. almost too good, my damm jacket is years old and still doesn't feel broken in. They also cost a fortune.
Helmets: Arai "what's your head worth". Man I love these helmets. Get whatever feels good on your head. weight is important, those scorpion helmets you see new riders with weigh a ton!
Gloves: I have Joe Rocket SM gloves Just got these: DeerSports
Security: If you have a late model sportbike in San Diego IT WILL BE STOLEN if not locked. I use a kryptonite anchor and a big ass noose chain running through the frame. Easiest way to get decent security is with a xena disk alarm Yes two guys can stick huck your bike sideways into a mini van and roll away, but it'll keep the rookie thieves at bay, and atleast the alarm will go off.
Luggage: It looks geeky but man I absolutely love my cheap emgo top case Makes my bike 800 times more convenient. easily stashes chain, helmet, groceries, whatever. I don't even use a rack, just bolted it to the tail of the work bike. It pops off in seconds with key. Did I mention how much I love that thing?
